Sylvia was born in Germany and graduated from Moravian College with a degree in business management and computer science. She moved to the United States and settled in New York. Sylvia also lived abroad, in England, South America, and Singapore, for 10 years before coming to Houston in 1999. Sylvia is a supporter of the Assistance League of Houston, the American Diabetes Association, and the Autism Society of America. When not working, she enjoys theater and traveling.
